Zimmermann is looking for Public Relations Intern
ZIMMERMANN is one of Australia's leading and most respected fashion labels. Zimmermann's ready-to-wear collections and swimwear are sold through Zimmermann boutiques and high-end retailers both in Australia and internationally. Zimmermann maintains stand-alone stores throughout Australia, the US and successful online business.
ZIMMERMANN also upholds a well-established wholesale business internationally with an enviable list of major stockists including Net-a-Porter and Saks fifth Avenue, to name a few.
The Zimmermann PR team is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive PR intern at least 3 days a week for the fall of 2018 semester. Training alongside our Senior PR manager & Pr Assistant, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to the "behind the scenes" of the fashion industry.
Zimmermann is interested in hearing from talented individuals who are genuinely interested in an educational experience in a retail environment. If you enjoy working in a creative and fast paced environment, we would love to hear from you!
Skills Required:
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Analytical and detail oriented
• Punctual, dependable and positive attitude
• Exemplary organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in the luxury and fashion industry
• Able to work well in a group
• Knowledge of Fashion GPS is a plus
Internship Guidelines:
• Students must be able to make a minimum commitment of 3 days per week
• Zimmermann does not offer travel, housing, or food stipends
• The internship program's hours are 9am to 6pm
• The program is based out of our Manhattan office
• The internship is unpaid and in exchange for school credit.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Sample trafficking
o Manage samples to and from leading media outlets and stylist
o Ensure efficient logistics organization by arranging messengers as well as domestic and international shipments
• PR closet Organization and Supply Fulfillment
• Maintain Up-to-Date Media Contact Lists
• Research New On-Brand Media Outlets, Influencers etc
• Support in Event Prep & Execution including NYFW, Seasonal Press Previews, and Showroom Set up
• Monitor Credits & mentions in Print, Digital & Social Media
