Zac Posen is looking for PR & Marketing Intern
Zac Posen launched his namesake label at the age of 21. In February 2002, he debuted his ready-to-wear collection in New York City. The presentation captured the attention of key fashion editors and retailers, signaling the presence of a new force within international fashion. Following the success of this presentation, Posen quickly established his design studio in Tribeca. Since this date, Zac Posen has remained committed to his vision of artfully crafted, innovative ready-to-wear for women worldwide. His strong, feminine aesthetic has become a favorite of style leaders.
Over the past 15 years, Zac Posen’s atelier has grown from a single-room studio into a bustling coterie of a global luxury brand. In 2010, the company invested in experienced management with the addition of Jillian Sinel as President of Zac Posen.
The brand’s iconic aesthetic has established a leadership position in glamorous daywear and evening dressing and it is available in the finest luxury department and high-end specialty stores worldwide.
The Zac Posen PR team hires highly organized interns with previous internship experience in the fashion industry, who are able to handle projects independently, are proactive, and can receive school credit.
During this internship, interns will report to and work closely with the PR coordinator, the Marketing coordinator, the Director of PR, and the VP of communications.
The Zac Posen public relations and marketing internship is an amazing opportunity for students interested in fashion PR to gain invaluable in-house PR experience at a luxury brand.
Requirements for the students include that they: Can receive school credit, Can commit two or more full days per week, are highly organized, are Microsoft office proficient, are proactive, have excellent communication skills, and are able to multi-task
-Monitoring regional and international press in magazines and online
-Pulling and trafficking samples for high profile clients and magazines
-Assisting the Director of Public Relations and the VP of Communications
-Using Photoshop to assist in creating invitations for upcoming events
-Maintaining the organization throughout the sample closets
-Maintaining showroom appearance and offering support during VIP appointments
-Assisting executive assistants with various projects
-Archiving previous collections
-Assisting with lookbook photoshoot coordination
-Assisting with PR organization and production of Zac Posen events and branding
-Maintaining the organization throughout the PR office
-Assisting in organization of meetings with collaborators and licensee partners
This internship is unpaid.
