Description:Tara Babylon is a RTW textiles designer brand, with a large emphasis on color, craft, textiles, sustainability & playfulness. The craftsmanship within this brand focuses heavily on hand-made techniques in order to keep the artisanal element alive. Embroidery, weave, print, tufting and crochet are common techniques used within the label. The brand is energetic and fun with sophisticated silhouettes. The opportunity will be helping Tara with developing the new collections in the studio in Bryant Park. This is not a large company environment so it suits someone looking for a full hands on experience. You will be involved throughout the entire process. Interns are needed until mid September 2025 but flexibility is welcome. The applicant MUST have a valid passport and be able to travel.
Requirements:If selected for video interview, the second stage is a trial day. Once accepted the internship is 2-3 days a week. And then optional leading to Sept 2025 part-time. This suits a dedicated and hard-working intern eager to see how a collection comes together and is made. Committed and timely interns need only apply. Great for hands-on individuals that like craft and textile. Proficient photoshop & illustrator use is a must, basic sewing skills, basic knowledge of textile so that you can pick up easily when taught new techniques. This internship is unpaid.
Responsibilities:3 days - 9:45am-5pm (flexible to more during photoshoot/collection prep).
