One of the biggest complaints I get is about how most of the internships I post on FreeFashionInternships.com are in New York or LA. Believe it or not, there are opportunities in other cities to work in fashion, although they aren’t as abundant. I discovered the Chicago Fashion Foundation via-Twitter, and I wanted to share with my Chicago readers, as it helps bring these opportunities to life.
The Chicago Fashion Foundation is a dynamic group of working professionals and students committed to supporting Fashion in Chicago. They are made up of an eclectic mix of women and men encompassing every aspect of the Fashion Industry from designers to manufacturers to stylists to fashion writers & editors to accountants and lawyers.
What their members have in common is a love of fashion, knowledge that Chicago is an incredible city of style and a commitment to promote Chicago’s Fashion Industry worldwide.
They host networking events, panels with speakers, and hold an annual scholarship competition for design students in Chicago. Some recent events include networking events, a fashion show, and seminars.

I greatly appreciate your addition to the site by adding information about Chicago. We as fashion students here in Chicago are a little discouraged at times because of the lack of information or resources for us. It is great and reassuring to know that there are resources and opportunities available to us. Thank you again for the information!
