FOR DESIGNERS
Schedules are flexible and interns are required to produce original garments to be put in the fashion show. All accessories (threads, fabrics, etc) will be compensated for and meals during group meetings will also be compensated. Interns will be in constant contact with the Executive director concerning their designs, garments and weekly responsibilities.
Requirements:
*Intern must have access to sewing machine (if you do not have access and really would like to be apart of this still contact and we can possibly work something out)
*designing and sewing original dresses
*maintaining contact with Executive director
*A minimum of 2 garments sewn for fashion show event
*openness to working on other tasks that involve planning a fashion show and organization related tasks
NOTE: *This is not a paid position* This is a great opportunity for hands on experience, possibility of networking with industry insiders, and ability to have fashion show and event planning experience!

We are launching out Little Dresses for Haiti project in which we make little dress garments and send them to Haiti. The sewing is relatively easy and quick. -Photoshop or similar program (a plus)
-Fluency in Italian (a plus)

You will work side-by-side with our small staff to
complete various day-to-day responsibilities, including:
- Archiving and organization.
- Assisting with linesheets, development, and production boards.
- Sourcing textiles, trims, etc. from stores.
- Assisting with fashion week and photoshoots.
- Assisting in the showroom.
This internship can be for school credit.

We are looking for interns especially for NY FASHION WEEK to start IMMEDIATELY.
Intern needed 2 days a week starting ASAP. A regular day is 10am-6:30pm. We represent 14 up and coming designers and we traffic our samples to all of the big name publications including recent features in Vogue, Purple, Elle, Glamour, Marie Claire, Harpers, NY TImes, Style.com. The position ranges from errands such as picking up and dropping off to shoots and magazines or sometimes bigger projects like creating invites for events we throw. Good computer skills a plus. We need people who are detail oriented and fast learners who can take initiative and think one step ahead. Please, only serious applicants apply with cover letter, letter of reference, resume and availability. Although we cannot offer compensation we can offer university credit.
